'Mixed-use development is a type of urban development that blends residential, commercial, cultural, institutional, or industrial uses, where those functions are physically and functionally integrated, and that provides pedestrian connections.' That was the task for for my Final school project. The plot is located in Czech Republic in the town of Valašské Meziřičí. The area is on the esdge of the historical center of the city and residential housing estate from the opposite side housing estate. The main idea was maintain the passage connecting the housing estate with the city center, which runs through the parcel. Multifunctional building includes housing, cafe, gallery and the studios for various artists. The main design intention was to limit noisy traffic on the south of the parcel and extend the city center towards th residential part of the town.
